I had a very hurtful experience. Also, I learned my lesson at a high cost regarding their recommended change from my traditional progressive lenses. This recommendation cost me over $1000 trying to figure out the cause of severe headaches and dizziness. The type of prescription Dr. LeSage recommended caused me major health-related problems. After discovering the glasses were the source and my prescription supposedly changed within two months, Dr. LeSage was visibly irritated and bothered that I returned to get support. People make mistakes, but how we respond and treat people is key. The problem was the type of glass lenses she recommended. I was very polite and respectful the entire time. I am a woman too, a professional with an earned top-tier, flagship doctorate. Be mindful as perhaps she only wants to see a certain type of patient. There was no justification to warrant what professionals would classify as sophomoric, juvenile, and "street-style" behavior from her as an adult woman. She might want to be mindful as it is very easy to have recordings. What was it about me being quiet, professional, and respectful that warranted how she treated me? I have never been treated like that by an optometrist my entire life! No remorse, no reason to act street-style and sophomoric unless she only wants a certain type of patient.
Dr. LeSage is fantastic! After moving from Fort Worth to Dallas three years ago, I struggled to find a good eye doctor until I came here. She’s extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Her staff is super friendly and can clearly explain your insurance, costs and most importantly help you get the most out of your benefits in a way that benefits you!

This my second time visiting Dr. Le Sage and both times have been impressed. The staff is always so nice and check-in is simple and fast with very little wait time. Dr. LeSage is very friendly and thorough. She makes sure to answer questions that I may have. I would highly recommend her.
We have gone to Dr. LeSage for our eye exams the last two years and she is really wonderful to work with. Very conscientious and caring and answers all your questions. Made us feel completely comfortable. She has all the normal high-tech equipment for taking the various scans and photos of your eyes. No hard sell on anything which I really appreciate. They made it easy to use our insurance benefits whether it was for contacts or glasses. They have a selection of frames there as well if you want to do a one stop shop for everything. Convenient location in Lakewood with parking out front along the strip shopping center. Highly recommend her!

I went for my first eye exam in several years today, and to say Dr. LeSage is warm, kind, and compassionate is an understatement! She took the time to walk me through her findings, ask about my personal life, and actually get to know me as a patient. Absolutely amazing experience! I’ve been wearing glasses my whole life, but this was the first time I had an eye exam where everything felt so thorough yet never rushed. The team took the time to run all the necessary tests and carefully explained each step. They also made sure to take precise measurements so my new frames would fit perfectly. I left feeling confident and well taken care of. I couldn’t recommend them more!
I’m a new patient at the office. The experience with setting up the appointment, the office staff, and the eye exam were amazing. I hate health care provider abrasion and the Modern team has removed all of the usual abrasion to create an exceptional experience!!! Dr LeSage is an outstanding clinician. I had a great eye experience at the New Modern Spectacle store on Gaston Ave., Dallas (Lakewood Center) with Dr. LaSage, who did my annual eye exam. She is patient, knowledgeable and experienced. She did an excellent assessment of my eyes and told me how to know if my eyes are failing. Her techniques are up to date. She and her office staff are helpful and pleasant.😀👍🏻

Dr. Stephanie Kim La Sage was kind, friendly, gentle, knowledgeable, and thorough. She explained what she was doing during the exam and did a complete health history noting any pertinent family history. Her staff was excellent in helping me choose frames and in recommending needed additions like glare free lenses. I highly recommend Modern Spectacle and will be a return customer.

She delivered not such great news clearly &, compassionately & literally had me to a retinal specialist in 45 minutes. I was scheduled for surgery immediately, and I attribute her genuine concern and understanding of my situation to saving my sight in the affected eye.

I have seen many eye doctors in my life as I have quite poor vision. Dr. LeSage is not only kind and sweet but also very knowledgable about eye health. She took the time to answer and explain any questions I had and I walked away more knowledgable of the conditions of my eyes than ever before. Her front staff is also friendly and helpful. Great experience - Modern Spectacle was a fantastic experience. Dr. LeSage is thorough, leverages up-to-date tech (3-d pics of your eyeball!) and is not pushy to sell you stuff you don’t need.
